miss independent

lately, every time we turn around, Posey has found some article of clothing laying around (sorry, aaron) and is trying her hardest to dress herself. She attempts any of it.....tshirts, coats, jeans, shoes....

and then today, she was trying to get her feet in my boots and the next thing i know she throws her hands in the air and says, "i did it!" she had put her own shoes on ALL BY HERSELF! wow! the right feet and everything!

i can't say this is any indicator of things to come, but it sure was cute!

my baby is 2 years old today!!!!!

(tried to post this yesterday)
i can hardly believe her 2nd birthday is already here! She woke up early this morning with a fever, but was a sweet girl still! i gave her some food and medicine and we snuggled up on the couch and slept there the rest of the night. it was fun to stare at her face while she slept and think back to two years ago. we were driving down to mississippi waiting to hear from the agency or martina about when she was born and how she was doing.

later on, we went to starbucks to eat a treat with jeannie and mandy! when we got there we found out that with every drink purchase, you got a free treat!! they had cake pops!!!!!! it could not have worked out any better! we hung out there for a bit and then Po was ready to go. we went home and snuggled while we watched tv.

we sure are looking forward to the yo gabba party on saturday! can't wait to be with the family!
