new names

She has officially transitioned from "mama" and "dada" to "mommy" and "daddy." I don't know where that came from, but it sounds pretty cute!!!!

We were playing in the floor today. She came over to me, patted my head, and said, "hey buddy!" in a soft, high-pitch voice. what a nut!

Ketchup, i mean catch up

Oh my word! I should have been adding posts every day for these last couple of months! Posey has been cracking me up every single day! She is talking up a storm and her sense of humor is really coming out! She loves to sing and "play" the piano. I can tell she really likes being around lots of people. She gets really silly when she knows everyone is watching her! :)

I've been trying to think of certain things she has done that, at the time i thought, "i have GOT to write that down!" I'll start with one....

During our Christmas time in NC, Mia, Jackson, and Eli were taking turns reciting scriptures they had memorized. Each turn they took, they walked up and stood in front of the TV to say their verse. We all listened and applauded at the end of each recitation. After the last kiddo had said their verse, we watched as Posey backed herself up to the TV and started jabbering her very own version of a verse! You could hear bits of words that the other three kids had been saying. Hilarious. We all tried not to bust out laughing and waited until she was finished. She loved it when we clapped for her at the end! :)

About a week ago, we started really pushing the sippee cup thing. We have been trying for months. She will drink anything from a sippee cup....except milk. She tastes it and lets the cup hit the ground. Ugh. So, when we got back from NC, we started with chocolate milk. One night, I was handing her the sippee cup with milk and she did NOT want it. Aaron chimed in with a Yo Gabba song reference of "try it....you'll like it." So, I started singing the whole song and she stared at me the whole time like, "i'm listening." So, with the song over, she reluctantly reached out to take the cup with eyebrows furrowed. I went back in the kitchen and heard from the other room... "i like it!" (i yike it) :)

I have a skin on my laptop that has a lady's profile on it. Posey tried to feed it the other day.
