too much

At the beginning of the summer travels, I had the keen idea to write down all the words that Posey knew. I wrote them down on a piece of paper (which is currently buried in my travel-trashed car) and i was astonished to count that she could say 16 words!!!! Things like:

mama

dada

no

peekaboo

bottle

nose

it's really sad that i can only remember 6 of those words. BUT. Here is why: She can say SO MANY things now! It's like someone took a tiny little key and unlocked the word box in her brain! She attempts to say anything she hears (even things within earshot).

Just yesterday she started in with phrases! Aaron came into the room and she said, "hey, Dada!" We just locked eyes and gasped and then cracked up! What!?! She is so smart!

So, here is a lame attempt to brainstorm on all her words.....here goes:

Well, that's a start! She also has become really good with her rhythm and she tries to sing songs! On the song, "Together We Rise," she waves her hands during the Oh, Oh, Oh part and then she pumps her fist in the air when we sing the we will rise bridge! It is one of the cutest things I have ever seen! On Yo Gabba Gabba, there is a song that tells you to so different actions and then freeze! Well, she moves her little feet around and then freezes! The freeze is amazing! She arches her back and sticks her hands out and her eyes get really big! She picked that up on her own. We had no idea what she was doing until we happened to see it on her video! Ha! She is a nut!

There are so many other things that she is doing and we are just having so much fun watching her do new things!

DISCOVERY

yesterday, we went to zaxby's for lunch. i knew some day she would discover it...ketchup! i figured that i wouldn't purposefully expose her to sauces and such.... just let her find it. we were eating lunch and i happened to look down to see what she was reaching for. she had her french fry in the cup of ketchup. i thought, "oh boy, this is it!" so i grabbed my camera and got to capture the discovery! :?) needless to say, she really likes ketchup! it makes my baby happy!
